"Magic Island" 
 
I created this painting seven years ago, when I was heavily pregnant with my son. I was working in the city centre in Dublin and longed to get out of the city, and I painted this piece of art from a memory, or maybe a dream. In the Magic Island painting, I combine the brilliant blues, greens and browns of a real Irish landscape- imitating something you can find in the Wicklow mountains or in the Ring of Kerry. Creating this painting made me feel like I was escaping the busy city and had taken myself away from the crowds, to a place of peace and wonder. 
 
This painting would look beautiful in a living room, dining room or bedroom.
